About the game

We Become What We Behold Play Now

We Become What We Behold is a game about news cycles, vicious cycles, infinite cycles. This is a game about feedback loops: how media chases attention, how attention chases conflict, and how conflict eventually becomes all anyone can see. There is no score screen, no win condition, only the question that lingers when the credits roll: did you report the world, or did you remake it?

Gameplay:

In this game, a crowd of tiny characters wanders around the screen, each wrapped up in their own little world. Your only action is to point your camera and snap a picture of them. Whatever you capture appears at the center of the screen and then plays on a small TV that everyone can see, subtly changing how the crowd behaves. Your choice of what to broadcast is the heart of the experience, so choose every shot with care.

Features:

  • A compact experience about society, media, and the stories we amplify
  • A complete playthrough in just a few minutes
  • Capture brief moments that ripple through the whole population
  • Square and circle characters, each with their own tiny dramas
  • Charming visuals and atmospheric sound effects
  • An ending that ties the whole cycle together
